The reconstruction on this 6th century monastery was only recently completed - making Parador Santo Estevo one of the 'newest' in the Parador chain. This monastery is one of Galicia's oldest - having been founded in the 6th century! The Santo Estevo Parador accommodations are completely captivating. Parador Santo Estevo (official name is Parador Luintra) is located near the very small town of Nogueira de Ramuín. The attraction here is the surrounding countryside. Drive out and explore. Another choice is the Romanesque Route: Visit churches and monasteries from the late 12th and 13th centuries on this route.
