Established in 1928, the Gredos Parador was the very first of the (now 90) Paradors.  It sits among crystalline waters, wild rocks and green forests. Its location, on El Alto del Risquillo, has a privileged viewpoint over the Tormes valley, the Gredos massif and the Piedrahita and Béjar mountain ranges.  This is a hikers and mountain lovers heaven.  The sturdy stone walls of the Gredos Parador conceal an interior in which the comfortable bedrooms stand out, some with terraces and lovely views.
