Parador Arties
The Parador Arties (official name is Parador Don Gaspar De Portola), like the Parador Vielha, is located in the Val d'Arán. It is in an area of the Catalan Pyrenees where the woods, the snow-capped peaks in winter and the freshness of the green in summer are the true attraction. The Arties Parador has been constructed in the style of the local architecture. It was refurbished from the so-called House of D. Gaspar de Portolá, the discoverer of California.
